Club Ethos
Last updated September 14, 2025
The Joyful Creators Club Ethos statement outlines our company’s values and beliefs. As a creative community and business, we believe in the importance of transparency.
Joyful Creators Club aims to operate according to 3 core values:
- Affordability
- Accessibility
- Diversity
Affordability
We believe that money should never be a barrier to creativity.
That’s why we share as much free content as we can reasonably produce — and why we keep our paid content within the price of a coffee.
We also offer discounts on our paid resources to our email subscribers and Clubhouse members. Both our Clubhouse and email newsletter are free.
We hope that those who find value in our club and are able to do so will kindly consider supporting us by purchasing a resource. While we believe creativity should be accessible for all, we also have operating costs to cover as an independent creative business.
Got questions or comments? Submit your feedback about our affordability policy.
Accessibility
As an online community, we strive to be an accessible and supportive space for people with visual, auditory, and other types of disabilities.
We actively do our best to ensure our site and offerings are accessible:
- Appropriate contrast is top priority for our website, images, and all other types of visual materials we produce.
- We audit our website and content for accessibility regularly.
- We abide by the latest WCAG standards.
- We regularly read content from leaders in the accessibility and disability spaces to ensure we’re up to date with best practices and industry breakthroughs.
If you have any comments or questions about accessibility, please get in touch. (Report accessibility issues and errors here.)
Diversity
We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate, bigotry, and discrimination of any kind. Racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of hate speech are not welcome here.
We aim to uplift creations by people who are BIPOC, queer, disabled, neurodivergent, and marginalized in other ways. We also hope to provide a safe space for people in these communities to connect and nurture their creative practice.
We prioritize art created by members of marginalized communities when sourcing our creativity prompts.
We regularly observe holidays like Black History Month, Pride Month, and Indigenous People’s Heritage Month.
While we always try to do our best to be diverse, inclusive, and equitable, we recognize there is always more work to do and improvements to be made in this arena, particularly since this business is run by a cis white woman.

Authenticity
We do our best to credit the original creators of any art, graphics, and other creative elements we reuse in our website and other materials — even if we don’t technically “have” to, according to license terms.*
Any content featured in our prompts or on our website is republished according to the license terms of the original work.
If your content is featured on our site and you would like it to be removed, please get in touch at the contact form below.
- Please note we reserve the right to omit credits to licensed content where appropriate for security purposes — for example, creative assets and vendors used to facilitate certain parts of the website.
Generative AI statement
Joyful Creators Club’s official stance as of 2025: Generative AI tools, like ChatGPT and Midjourney, are harmful to human artists.
These tools are trained using copyrighted materials created by human artists without serving notice, obtaining consent, or offering compensation.
While we welcome healthy discussion and civil discourse about generative AI and its impact on art and creativity, we do not encourage its use in creative exercises and practice.
Joyful Creators Club doesn’t use generative AI at any point in the content creation process. This applies to text, images, audio, and video content.
We respect everyone’s right to choose, but ultimately support better education and stricter government regulation on generative AI.
Please note this policy is subject to change as new information and developments emerge.
